What did attendees learn?

The Eurocoke Summit 2013 focused heavily on voices from the plant manager's perspective, and addressed issues of cost, regulations, operations, markets and worldwide projects that have a downstream impact on the entire supply chain. GIR Europa offers the following products for coke industry:

We produce the new generation of coke silica with lower contents of iron, better level of SiO2, lower content of alkalis. Also we offer insulation silica shapes with good parameters. Our products are very good both for new construction and for coke battery repairs. The new coke battery at Czestochowa Nowa - coke plant in Czestahowa, Poland, was fully built with our silica end fireclay shapes in 2011. GIR's fireclay shapes were delivered for the construction of new coke battery in Zabrze Coke Plant Radlin, in Radlin, Poland in 2008. There are coke batteries built with the use of our refractory materials that are in operation for more than 50 years.

Concord Group`s activity is based on efficient integration of engineering ex-pertise, modern and reliable technologies, professional team and technical ca-pacities into a single organizational structure.

Giprokoks Polska

Giprokoks Polska Sp. z o.o., located in Chorzów, was founded in November 2009. The company is a representative of the State Institute for Designing Enterprises of Coke Oven and By-Product Industry - Giprokoks, located in Kharkov, Ukraine and a representative of Koks-Kompleks Engineering Office located in Kramatorsk, Ukraine. Giprokoks is the shareholder of the company.

Giprokoks offers complex engineering services, specifically in the field of design of new and reconstruction, rebuilding and modernization of already existing coke oven batteries all over the world. The Institute was founded over 80 years ago and every third tone of coke in the world is produced with the batteries designed by Giprokoks. On the base of Giprokoks designs, 59 coke plants in 25 countries all over the world with production capacity equaling from 200 thousands to 7.600 thousands tones of coke annually have been constructed. The Institute employs 600 employees at the present, 500 of them are a high-qualified engineering staff with great experience. Our partner Koks-Kompleks, company with over ten-year experience - deals with machines and equipment design (detail engineering) for coke plants.

Koks-Kompleks developed a technical documentation for machines used in coke plants and equipment for plants in Poland, Brazil, Turkey, Russia and Ukraine. This company employs over 40 experienced specialist design engineers at present. Both companies have design potential which allows undertaking operations on the worldwide markets. Long-term experience, high-qualified educated engineering staff and innovative technologies are the reasons Giprokoks and Koks-Kompleks have presence everywhere where there are new investments in the coke industry.

The aim of our Company is to maintain a direct contact with customers by way of better recognition of needs and presentation of up-to-date engineering solutions and innovative products in the field of coke making. The Giprokoks Polska is the member of the Concord Group.

MAK Scientific-Implementation Enterprise Ltd.

«MAK» Scientific-Implementation Enterprise» Ltd. provides services in the field of execution of repairs of industrial ovens brickwork. The company was found in 1982. The main business activities of «MAK» are as follows: restoration of brickwork of coke ovens by ceramic welding, "cold" and "hot" repairs, bricklaying of coke oven batteries as well as hot repair of other industrial ovens.

The staff of the enterprise consists of more than one hundred people, 70 from them are skilled welders and bricklayers. The company has its own design-engineering bureau. Its task is the modernization of technological process of ceramic welding, developing the new compositions of ceramic mixture, conduct researches and also developing of the new equipment. All equipment and mechanisms are manufactured by qualified specialists of the production department.

The «MAK» has all required permits and licenses:

• Ukrainian and EU countries patents for technologies, equipment and mixtures;
• A license for construction activity;
• The company follows the quality program ISO 9001;
• All equipment meets the requirements of the CE norms;
